The fifty stories selected for this book are carefully chosen from the complete edition of "Bao Gong An," most of which are based on historical facts. Although they sometimes borrow from the underworld and supernatural beings to explain issues, their main purpose is to reveal some of the dark aspects of society at the time and reflect the hardships of the working people, while also showcasing Bao Gong's investigative spirit and methods. The purpose of compiling this book is primarily to help young people establish a correct worldview, life philosophy, and values. Under the conditions of a socialist market economy, it aims to resist the erosion of unhealthy ideologies and to practice "not doing small good deeds and not doing small evil deeds."
