With the development of the times, the advancement of science and technology, and the growing richness of human material and cultural life, people's demands for architectural forms have become increasingly high. When it comes to architectural art and the external shapes of buildings, people often talk about large public buildings in big cities, such as cinemas, stadiums, and high-rise hotels. These iconic large buildings have become symbols of civilization and technological progress, but they are limited in proportion within urban architecture. In the urban built environment, the small and medium-sized buildings people interact with every day are equally diverse and vibrant in the garden of social environments, reflecting the light of human civilization's progress.
During this period of extraordinary vitality in architectural design creation, excellent works of small and medium-sized buildings have continuously emerged. This book compiles some representative small and medium-sized architectural design implementation plans and design schemes from recent years. It has the following characteristics:
First, the content is up-to-date. Most of the works selected were designed by the editor and other architects in recent years, demonstrating certain innovation and practicality.
Second, the sources are diverse. The selected works come from different cities, regions, and designers, showing representativeness and regional characteristics.
Third, the topics are authentic. All the selected works are actual projects, some of which have been put into use, others are under construction, and some are bidding proposals, all of which have a certain degree of authenticity and feasibility.
Fourth, the types are comprehensive. The works are categorized into seven types of architecture: office, residential, commercial, educational, gateways, sports, and comprehensive design. The works exhibit comprehensiveness and diversity.
All good experiences come from practice. Although the works collected in this book may not be masterpieces by renowned architects that attract attention, it is hoped that the practical engineering examples selected in this book can convey information and exchange experiences with readers, inspiring and benefiting innovation in architectural design.
