Is Baofukang effective for mild cervical inflammation?

Patient's question:

Got a thorough examination at the hospital and found mild cervical inflammation and vaginal inflammation. The doctor prescribed a box of Kangfu Xiaofang and Baofukang. First, I used Kangfu Xiaofang, and after a few days, my period came. After my period, I focused on using Baofukang. Now, I feel nothing uncomfortable, and my leukorrhea is normal. The doctor said if I feel comfortable, there's no need for a follow-up examination. Should I continue using the medicine diligently?

Doctor's answer:

Chronic cervicitis is one of the most common gynecological diseases, more prevalent among multiparous women. It primarily manifests as lower abdominal distension and pain, increased vaginal discharge that is creamy white or slightly yellowish, or purulent and viscous. Sometimes it may be bloody or mixed with blood streaks. Generally, it is difficult to cure with conventional drugs. Western medicine's standard anti-inflammatory and antibacterial treatments not only fail to cure the condition but also, due to long-term use of antibiotics, lead to drug resistance, thereby increasing the difficulty of treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has accumulated many highly effective treatment methods through long-term clinical practice, which are fast-acting and produce definite results. It is recommended to take TCM's Gynecological Qianjin Tablets (capsules). Generally, 3–4 courses of treatment are needed, with 2–3 courses for those with milder conditions. Each course lasts 14 days.
