Features: The "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" funded by Hefei University of Technology was awarded as one of the first key construction courses in Anhui Province by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education in 1999. That same year, our university was honored as an outstanding higher education institution in Anhui and nationally for implementing the "Regulations on School Physical Education Work." Subsequently, our Physical Education Department took on the task of developing the "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" and conducted more than two years of rigorous research and scientific deliberation, achieving positive results. Building on this foundation, we adhered to the spirit and requirements of the "National Guidelines for Physical Education Curriculum Teaching in General Higher Education Institutions" and, combining the teaching and research practices of numerous renowned professors and key teaching staff, conducted theoretical summaries of the achievements in the development of the "University Physical Education Series Curriculum." We then compiled this series of university physical education textbooks, aiming to help students better master fundamental and specialized theoretical knowledge in physical education, enhance their physical awareness and athletic abilities, learn scientific methods and techniques for exercising, and provide them with theoretical guidance for conscious fitness. This series of textbooks is designed with lifelong education as its goal, featuring ideological depth, theoretical rigor, scientific accuracy, practicality, and timeliness. The content is concise, the explanations are clear and accessible, and the illustrations are abundant, contributing to the establishment and reinforcement of lifelong learning values among students. The series consists of the following volumes: "Fundamentals of University Physical Education," "Football," "Volleyball," "Basketball," "Handball," "Table Tennis," "Tennis," "Aerobics," "Martial Arts," "Sports Dance," "Gymnastics," and "Track and Field." The publication of this series of physical education textbooks will facilitate the fulfillment of the objectives and tasks of physical education teaching in general higher education institutions, meet the needs of students at different levels and with varying interests, and can also serve as reading material for sports enthusiasts.
