Features: The "Japan University Entrance Examination" is held twice a year in June and November, replacing the former "Unified Examination for Self-Financing International Students" administered by the Japan Association for International Education. The exam targets candidates applying to Japanese universities (including universities, junior colleges, vocational schools, etc.). It primarily assesses candidates' Japanese proficiency and basic academic abilities, divided into two sections: Liberal Arts and Science. The Liberal Arts section includes subjects such as "Japanese," "Mathematics 1," and "Comprehensive Subjects (Civics, Geography, History)," while the Science section consists of four subjects: "Japanese," "Mathematics 2," and two selected from "Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)." The results of the "Japan University Entrance Examination" are valid for two years. To help Chinese learners of Japanese and those planning to study in Japan understand the exam's subjects, content, and format, the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press has introduced and published the "Japan University Entrance Examination Preparation" series, including five books: "Comprehensive Subjects," "Listening and Reading Comprehension," "Reading Comprehension," "Mathematics 1," and "Physics." These books provide highly effective assistance for candidates.
This book, "Comprehensive Subjects," is a standalone exam subject in the "Japan University Entrance Examination," covering the content of high school courses such as "Civics," "Geography," and "History" in Japan. It primarily tests candidates' basic liberal arts knowledge. Each chapter includes review questions to help learners assess their understanding of the material. At the end of the book, there are practice tests and answer keys for self-assessment and training.
