Features: This book is not a manual for pathological diagnosis, nor is it a systematic reference book for diagnostic pathology. Pathological diagnosis involves various clinical departments, and the types of human diseases are numerous. What knowledge structure should a pathologist possess? For a pathologist in charge of diagnosis, it is important to be familiar with basic lesions, learn to analyze pathological findings under both gross and microscopic examination, and draw diagnostic conclusions. It is essential to have a scientific approach rather than just following the trail of pictures. Therefore, this book provides in-depth yet accessible explanations of the concepts of basic lesions and knowledge from related disciplines at a level slightly deeper than university textbooks, in a way that connects theory with practice. It also includes information on diseases and lesions that can occur in various body systems, as well as knowledge related to commonly used pathological diagnostic techniques. To facilitate reference for pathologists, this book, in the second and third parts, introduces not only basic and simple postmortem examination methods but also focuses on sudden deaths and common causes and diagnostic criteria for neonatal deaths, which are prone to medical disputes in grassroots hospitals. Although not deeply detailed, it is hoped that it will contribute to advancing the work of postmortem pathological diagnosis.
