Patient's question:
Suffering from uterine hypertrophy often leads to vaginal bleeding, and the amount is usually large without menstruation, and there are no symptoms similar to early pregnancy. I am currently in my childbearing age, and during my period, the bleeding is mostly in large quantity but the cycle is normal, and the uterus is noticeably enlarged. What is the disease of cervical hypertrophy?
Doctor's answer:
The main causes of cervical hypertrophy are: (1) Chronic inflammation, long-term impact leads to cervical congestion and edema, and the cervical glands and stroma undergo fibrosis again, resulting in varying degrees of cervical hypertrophy. (2) In the deep part of the cervical glands, mucus retention may occur, forming cysts of varying sizes, making the cervix hypertrophic. Cervical hypertrophy generally does not require treatment; if there is erosion, cervical erosion can be treated.
