Patient's question:
Patient Age: 31I had an ectopic pregnancy surgery three years ago, but I still haven't been able to get pregnant. Last year, I went to the hospital for a hydrotubation, and the doctor said everything was fine, but I still can't get pregnant. What should I do?
What kind of assistance do you expect: I hope you can help me.
Doctor's answer:
Hysterosalpingography (HSG) can only prove that the fallopian tubes are unobstructed. The ectopic pregnancy surgery in that year did not cause significant interference to the fallopian tubes. However, there are many factors contributing to infertility, and other factors such as the uterus and ovaries need to be ruled out. It is recommended that you undergo several examinations: 1. Ovarian function test 2. MRI examination to rule out polyps, fibroids, and other inflammatory conditions in the uterine cavity 3. If possible, have your partner also undergo a semen analysis. Infertility is not always due to the female's reasons.
