Patient's question:
On October 28, 2010, I underwent a Leep 3000 cervical erosion removal surgery. After that, on November 11, my first postoperative period was normal. My second period arrived on December 13, delayed by nearly 5 days (cycle length of 26 days). The flow was light, and the blood was dark brown. Today, the menstrual cramps have become increasingly severe. About the previous treatment and its effectiveness: After the surgery, I went back to the hospital for a follow-up check-up, and the condition was good. What kind of assistance do you need: Why is it so painful? Is this normal?Doctor's answer:
The second menstrual period after the LEEP procedure for cervical erosion may again cause dysmenorrhea, which could be due to:1. After the treatment for cervical erosion, it takes 2 months for normal healing to replace the clotted wound caused by the treatment. Currently, the scar tissue has not peeled off, making the cervical os small and hindering the smooth flow of menstrual blood, which may lead to dysmenorrhea.
2. The surgery may cause cervical adhesion, resulting in poor flow of menstrual blood, which may also lead to dysmenorrhea.
