Features: Animal disease prevention and quarantine, as well as the safety of livestock products, have become a topic of global concern, significantly impacting social stability, economic development, and public health in every country. Effective animal disease prevention not only promotes the growth of the livestock industry but also facilitates the adjustment of agricultural and rural economic structures, enhances agricultural efficiency and farmer income, and helps establish an international image for China's livestock products while boosting foreign trade development. To better prevent, control, monitor, quarantine, and eradicate animal diseases, we have summarized new achievements, experiences, and technologies in China's animal disease prevention efforts over the years by reviewing a vast amount of relevant literature. Based on this, we have compiled the book "Animal Disease Prevention, Quarantine Technology, and Regulations." The content includes animal disease prevention supervision, prevention and control of animal diseases, eradication of animal diseases, classification and management of animal diseases, classification and application of veterinary drugs, and reference data for animal diagnosis and treatment. This book comprehensively and systematically elaborates on animal immunity, animal quarantine, prevention supervision, disease surveys, disease diagnosis, disease eradication, preventive biological products, disinfectants, and therapeutic drugs from both macro and micro perspectives. It discusses current major diseases according to China's classification of animal diseases, covering aspects such as pathogens, epidemiological characteristics, clinical symptoms, pathological changes, diagnosis, and prevention. This book is practical, with extensive, rich, and applicable content, offering systematic and profound reviews. It can serve as a training textbook for prevention supervisors, disease control personnel, and laboratory technicians in experimental diagnosis rooms of disease-free zones and epidemic reporting stations at city, county, and township levels. It can also be used as a learning manual for technical personnel in large-scale breeding farms and livestock disease clinics, as well as a reference tool for researchers, educators, and administrators engaged in animal disease prevention work.
