Excerpt: Bowling (English: BowLine) in China started relatively late, but in a very short time, it gained unanimous popularity across all industries, social classes, and age groups due to its strong integration and entertainment value. Today, bowling has spread throughout China, with numerous bowling alleys established in cities of all sizes, hotels, restaurants, tourist spots, scenic areas, and even in counties and towns. A large number of bowling enthusiasts have emerged. Thinking back to the past, even long after the Cultural Revolution, until the mid-1980s, there was no dedicated bowling alley in China. Even in luxury hotels across the country, there wasn’t a single bowling lane. Most Chinese people had never heard of bowling, let alone knowing what it was or how to play it.
The shipwrecked boat’s side, a thousand sails pass by. Ignorance and isolation were swept away in an instant. No one could have imagined that just a decade later, by the mid-1990s, bowling had entered Chinese society, becoming a fashionable form of physical exercise and a popular leisure and social venue. In China, the development speed of bowling can be said to surpass that of any other sport. It has high aesthetic appeal, entertainment value, and a sense of etiquette. Today, bowling has become a part of modern urban culture. It is a popular form of entertainment, a trendy culture, and a symbol of elegance and refinement.
In bowling circles around the world, there’s a saying: A modern "Miss World" cannot be without a grand gown, an exquisite evening dress. Similarly, a modern "city" cannot be without bowling alleys and leisure clubs. Clearly, bowling, like a brilliant pearl of sport, shines atop the Olympus of athletics.
