Features: The research methods of this book mainly include the following four:
1. Institutional Research Method. It focuses on explaining the Chinese administrative system, especially the institutional norms of the horizontal and vertical structures of administrative power, and proposes paths for government institutional innovation.

By applying this method, it examines the socio-economic, political, and cultural conditions of contemporary Chinese administrative reforms and development, aiming to grasp the originality of administrative reforms and development in the current stage of China within a specific temporal and spatial context, as well as their interactive relationships with the external environment.
4. Comparative Method. It conducts comparative analyses of China's traditional and current governance, as well as government management and administrative reforms both domestically and internationally. These four methods each have their own focus and characteristics, and they should be complementary and mutually reinforcing.
