Features: To enable finance and economics students, especially graduate and MBA students, to understand and apply accounting and financial knowledge through case studies, we have selected representative listed company cases from the securities market over the past decade as vehicles for event analysis. Each case explores one or two themes, covering both corporate finance operations, financial and statement analysis, and the examination of corporate fraud tactics. All case materials are derived from real economic life. We aim to establish a practical bridge that combines theory and practice for those studying finance and economics, providing a comprehensive case library for a deeper understanding of accounting and finance. Each case in this book is independent and consists of three parts: Case Introduction, Case Discussion, and Case Analysis. Instructors can arrange them freely as needed.
It should be noted that:
(1) This case collection is not only suitable for graduate case teaching but also beneficial for those analyzing and understanding the deeper issues of accounting and finance in the capital market. Each case is accompanied by an analysis, which represents the views of the authors and is intended for reference only, encouraging broader thinking and exploration. Moreover, some perspectives and practices may evolve with economic development, and readers can observe the interdependent relationship between economic activities and accounting systems through these changes.
(2) Each case includes numerous real instances of corporate fraud from various angles, with the goal of equipping more people with the ability to identify fraud, rendering fraudulent tactics ineffective, and allowing investors and future learners to learn standardized management with fewer costs. The aim is to inspire readers to reflect and think after reading.
(3) To provide readers with insights into the management and operations of foreign companies, this case collection also includes four classic cases of renowned international companies covering business strategies, accounting policies, financial forecasts, and accounting fraud, for the enjoyment of the readers.
