Features: Color is the most sensitive in human vision. It is often called visual language in painting and is also an extremely important constituent factor in modern design. Different colors can evoke different emotions in people. Different eras and different individuals have varying aesthetic responses to color. Observing color can trigger multiple feelings and associations. Due to the different emotions represented by various colors and the relationships among the three elements of color, the combination and coordination of colors are inherently complex. Different color combinations must be used for different purposes and occasions. As everyone knows, color never exists in isolation, but how to combine them entirely depends on personal cultural and artistic cultivation, intuition, experience, and imagination, with no particular fixed patterns.
To provide some inspiration for design creation, we have specially invited experienced color teaching professors from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology to compile this series of books on color coordination applications for six different design disciplines: graphic design, fashion design, packaging design, exhibition design, web design, and environmental art. Each author of the series strives to use successful design works as examples, briefly describing the general principles of color coordination in their respective design fields, with the aim of offering readers useful references and inspiration.
Good packaging promotes products, and reasonable color coordination plays a pivotal role in packaging design. This book selects outstanding packaging designs from around the world, extracts and coordinates their colors, and is believed to inspire readers in their creative endeavors.
