Features: The Selected Ensemble and Solo Pieces for Chinese Traditional Music is a series of books, currently featuring three volumes. The first volume is an album of traditional pieces, the second volume is an album of composed or arranged pieces, and the third volume is an album of foreign pieces. Each volume contains ten pieces, including ensemble performances, small ensemble performances, and solo pieces. In the future, additional volumes will be published as needed. This volume is the second in the Selected Ensemble and Solo Pieces for Chinese Traditional Music series—the album of composed and arranged pieces. It includes ten pieces by six composers: Gu Guoren, Zhou Chenglong, Zeng Jiaging, Peng Zhengyuan, Xu Guoping, and Cao Jianhui. Some of these works have won national awards, including the Best Composition Award at the Shanghai Student Art Festival and the Shanghai "October Singing Festival" instrumental composition competition, while others are newly composed pieces. They cover a wide range, demonstrating strong representativeness and practicality. To facilitate adoption by various amateur ensembles, a variety of ensemble combinations and solo forms have been selected.
