Features: In the past decade, cultural exchanges between China and the world have become increasingly frequent. The cultural and education authorities have adopted various channels and methods, such as inviting experts in and sending people abroad, to promote academic exchanges. This has opened the doors of China's once music halls, providing enthusiasts with opportunities to learn about international counterparts, absorb foreign cultures, master new techniques, and utilize new teaching materials and repertoire. As a result, the field in China has experienced a second leap forward, with its development progressing at an extremely rapid pace. To date, programs in music institutions across the country have become more comprehensive, and bands of all kinds have emerged one after another, forming a spectacular scene. There are bands in universities and colleges, industrial and mining enterprises, military and government agencies, rural areas, and primary and secondary schools. Various forms of exchanges and competitions are held, and some provinces and cities have even established associations. The flourishing activities have prompted us to reflect on the long-term practice of education. The teaching materials and exercises we currently use are mostly passed down through generations, relying on hand-copying and photocopying. In some small and medium-sized cities, there are no art schools or qualified teachers, let alone exercise books. This situation is highly unfavorable to the popularization, development, and improvement of in China. Therefore, we have organized experts and professors to compile and annotate a series of exercise books.
