Features: Southern Song and Jin-Yuan Taoist Literature Research is a phased achievement in the overall study of Taoist literature. As the title suggests, this book focuses on a specialized exploration of the works of Taoist literary figures from the three dynasties involved. Southern Song and Jin-Yuan Taoist Literature Research largely follows the research approach of History of Taoist Literature, providing a comprehensive overview of Taoist literature from the Southern Song to the Yuan Dynasty. In this work, Zhan Shicong analyzes the poetry of the Quanzhen Taoism represented by Wang Chongyang and the Seven Immortals of Quanzhen, the poetry of the Southern School of Alchemy during the Southern Song and Yuan Dynasty represented by Bai Yuchan, the Taoist prose of the Southern Song and Yuan Dynasty, and the Taoist immortals' transformation plays of the Yuan Dynasty, respectively, at the levels of thematic content and artistic characteristics. Although Zhan's History of Taoist Literature is not yet complete in terms of its chronological scope, as the first literary general history to emerge in the study of Taoist literature, it undoubtedly laid a pioneering foundation with its groundbreaking efforts.
