Features: In the era of the booming knowledge economy, topics such as clothing, food, housing, transportation, healthcare, wellness, tourism, and entertainment have increasingly become indispensable and closely intertwined components of daily life. For English enthusiasts, translators, international friends who admire Chinese culture and diligently study Chinese, as well as young scholars, possessing a wealth of relevant English and Chinese vocabulary can enable them to "have everything in mind." When it comes to introducing situations or communicating in various settings, they will neither suffer from "running out of words" nor enjoy the ease of "seizing opportunities effortlessly"—what a joy that would be! Addressing these needs and in line with the demands of the times, we have planned and compiled this series, English-Chinese and Chinese-English Common Vocabulary, consisting of six sub-series: Clothing and Fashion Sub-series, Food and Culture Sub-series, Housing and Residences Sub-series, Public Transportation Sub-series, Tourism and Entertainment Sub-series, and Healthcare and Wellness Sub-series. Each sub-series, with its unique characteristics, maintains its own independence. However, when sub-series involve overlapping professional fields, they can also connect and complement each other. The entire series comprises approximately 2.1 million words and includes over 300,000 entries. Each sub-series contains 350,000 words and over 50,000 entries. The Tourism and Entertainment Sub-series collects over 50,000 English-Chinese and Chinese-English entries, covering topics such as tourism hotels, dining, transportation, finance, culture, entertainment, and major tourist attractions in China and the world. The English-Chinese section is arranged in alphabetical order, while the Chinese-English section is first categorized and then arranged in Pinyin order.
