This book uses the Chongxiu Zhenghe Jingshi Zhenglei Bieyong Bencaoben by (Tang) Shen Wei as its base. To reflect the original work's classification by upper, middle, and lower categories while also facilitating reader reference, the 268 types of Chinese medicine are arranged according to their medicinal parts and combined with the original "three categories" classification. An index is provided in the appendix for reference.
