Features: The Chinese nation has a history of thousands of years of civilization, having created a splendid ancient culture and left behind rich spiritual treasures for humanity. It not only played a significant role in uniting and shaping the Chinese nation but also holds great practical significance today. It enables people to correctly understand their national history while receiving patriotic education, cultivating moral sentiments, improving the cultural quality of the entire nation, and promoting the prosperity of socialist culture. These are the cultural essence of our Yellow River and Yangtze descendants, and they have shaped the spirit of our Chinese nation. To inherit our excellent cultural heritage and carry forward the historical legacy of our ancient civilization, we have launched the "Chinese Traditional Culture Classics Series." This series adheres to the principle of innovating while preserving tradition. It selects and publishes a variety of classic works from China's historical records, including Confucian classics, historical chronicles, philosophical treatises, and literary masterpieces, in the form of modern translations of ancient texts. We first focus on selecting enduring historical masterpieces from various fields such as ancient philosophy, history, geography, literature, and science and technology, as well as famous collections that have been passed down through generations. Considering the need for popularization and the target audience, most of these works are translated selectively, with annotations provided for the selected excerpts. The translations strive for accuracy and fluency, easing readers into the complexities and difficulties of ancient texts and making it easier for them to engage with the essence of Chinese ancient culture in a fast-paced era. The goal is to make the elderly, middle-aged, and young people all willing to read and able to understand, so that they can derive benefits from them.
