Patient's question:
Earlier, a thorough check revealed cervical inflammation and bacterial vaginosis. I used medication for a certain period of time, and the vaginosis improved, but the cervical inflammation did not. During this follow-up check, the doctor prescribed a box of compound sea buckthorn oil and compound huangpi liquid ointment. I have been using it for three or four days now. What medication is better for cervical inflammation and bacterial vaginosis?Doctor's answer:
Cervical erosion cannot be treated with medication. In other words, the erosion area of the cervix must be treated with physical therapy, such as laser cryotherapy or microwave therapy. Medication can only treat abnormal vaginal discharge but has no effect on the erosion area. It is recommended to check cervical CT and HPV. If they are normal, mild erosion does not require treatment. If you use compound sea buckthorn oil, the vaginal discharge may turn slightly yellow. If there is no external genital itching or odor, you can stop taking the medication after this course of treatment. Long-term medication is not recommended.
