Patient's question:
A few days ago, I went to the hospital for a gynecological examination. The results showed chronic cervicitis with squamous metaplasia. Before my marriage, my vaginal discharge was slightly yellow and abundant for two years. I recently got married but have not yet had children. What treatment do I need?Doctor's answer:
Currently, the continuous process of cervical epithelial atypical fibrosis to in situ carcinoma in this series of precancerous lesions is collectively referred to as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, abbreviated as CIN. There are classified as CIN1 grade (mild atypical fibrosis) where atypical cells are limited to the lower one-third of the epithelial layer, CIN2 grade (moderate atypical fibrosis) where atypical cells occupy the upper one-half to two-thirds of the layer, with grade 1 atypia being more pronounced. The time required for carcinogenesis is shorter, so your condition requires early surgical intervention.
