Patient's question:
Hello doctor, I am 34 years old this year, and I have endometriosis. I have been trying to conceive but haven't been able to. I would like to ask if it is possible to get pregnant with endometriosis?Doctor's answer:
Endometriosis patients have a high infertility rate of up to 50%. Among them, 20% of the patients have inflammation above the toxic level. The reasons for infertility are complex and may include pelvic anatomical abnormalities, such as extensive adhesions around the ovaries and fallopian tubes, leading to fallopian tube obstruction or complete torsion, causing abnormal fallopian tube movement, abnormal ovarian function, changes in the pelvic microenvironment, and other reasons. A 50% infertility rate does not necessarily mean it is absolutely impossible to get pregnant.
