How to Treat Cervical Erosion Correctly

Patient's question:

I recently feel itchy down there, and my white discharge has increased quite a bit. Sometimes it's quite viscous and has a bad odor. I also always have lower back pain. I took some medicine at home, but it wasn't very effective. I went to the hospital for a thorough check-up, and the doctor said it was cervical erosion.

Doctor's answer:

Cervical erosion is not true erosion; the erosion surface still has intact epithelium. However, since it is columnar epithelium, it has poor resistance, and if the range is extensive, secretions are often more abundant. Therefore, for mild to moderate cervical erosion, treatment may not be necessary, and the focus should be on controlling recurrent vaginal infections. For severe cervical erosion, treatment is often unsatisfactory with medication. My suggestion is still to treat it, and physical therapy is required to cure it. However, after treatment, it is essential to control recurrent vaginal infections, otherwise, no matter how it is treated, it will not be cured. Even if it is cured, it is easy to recur.
Patients can understand and take targeted medication while using dietary therapy as a complementary treatment in daily life. During daily diet, it is crucial to avoid excessive hunger or fullness and never overeat or binge on food.
