Patient's question:
Recently, I've been feeling unwell, so I went to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor said it's cervical erosion. I'm not sure what this condition is. Can cervical erosion be cured?Doctor's answer:
Cervical erosion can be treated with physical methods, the most common of which include laser, cryotherapy, infrared coagulation, or microwave therapy. Physical therapy postoperatively may result in increased vaginal discharge, even large amounts of watery discharge. During the 1-2 weeks of wound healing, there may be minimal peeling. During this period, it is strictly prohibited to take baths, have sexual intercourse, perform vaginal wipes, or undergo vaginal irrigation. It is recommended to first seek medical treatment at a regular hospital. For cases where medication and physical therapy are ineffective, or if the cervical erosion is deep or covers a large area, surgical treatment can be considered.
