Features: Seal carving, also known as cursive seal carving. Cursive script refers to the script, while carving means engraving. It has a long history and is a unique art form in China. Ancient Chinese seals carried ancient characters, symbolizing integrity and passed down the civilization of the Chinese nation. Since the Song and Yuan dynasties, scholars and literati often carved their own seals from stone, writing and carving them to express their emotions and sentiments. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, seal carving flourished, giving rise to numerous artistic schools and becoming a spectacular sight. "Adorning characters as beauty is uniquely Chinese." Seal carving integrates stone, calligraphy, carving, and poetry into one, creating a vast world within a small space. The five thousand years of splendid and brilliant cultural history of the Chinese nation, known as "valuing stone to honor people and passing down culture through stone," is embodied in seal carving. Seal carving art is the art of carving dragons. This collection includes the author's new seal carvings from the past year. The seal stones are primarily Shoushan stone, supplemented by fine pieces of Qingtian, Changhua, and Balin stone. The inscriptions on the seals are carvings of famous quotes and maxims, aiming to refine the spirit and embrace an empty and serene mindset. This collection includes works such as "High Mountains and Flowing Waters," "No Obstructions," "Ascending the Clouds," "Faint Fragrance Floating," and "Guts as Red Blood." These attempts to combine thin art legends or seal stone features carved on the (top of the seal) and body of the seal with the inscriptions aim to enrich their cultural content and make them more engaging. Seal carving art is not just about carving a good seal; it includes the perfect combination of seal stone, seal, carving technique, seal impressions, rubbings, inscriptions, edge inscriptions, and emotional expression, as well as various other factors. This collection includes the author's seal carvings, calligraphy, ancient seal collections, and selected research essays, discussing some insights and experiences from the learning process. It is a personal perspective, intended for exchange and improvement, striving for richness and diversity in both form and content.
