Growing uterine fibroids inside the uterus usually doesn't cause any symptoms. Smaller uterine fibroids will never reappear with any symptoms, while larger uterine fibroids or many submucosal uterine fibroids may reappear with symptoms such as vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. Some people may experience prolonged menstruation or excessive menstrual flow. Uterine fibroids that are larger than 5cm or continuously interfere with increasing menstrual flow.
