It seems that among all the vast matters, only "history" is the most important. Even in the modern era of disciplinary specialization, the grand structure of history has been divided into many branch disciplines, but as the foundation of modern humanities and social sciences, history still holds an unshakable position. History is a discipline that requires talent, yet it is also a discipline that requires foolishness—such as sitting on cold benches. However, people who possess both talent and foolishness are rare in the world. The articles we publish may indeed strive to show a touch of talent in some aspects; but we are not afraid to bravely offer a bit of foolishness in others.
