Patient's question:
A few days ago, I went to the hospital for a gynecological examination. The results showed chronic cervical inflammation with squamous metaplasia. Before having sexual activity, my vaginal discharge has been slightly yellow and abundant for two years. I recently got married and have not given birth yet. Could you please advise on the treatment?Doctor's answer:
Currently, the continuous process of cervical epithelial atypical fibrosis to in situ carcinoma in this series of precancerous lesions is collectively referred to as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, abbreviated as CIN. There are grades: CIN1 (mild atypical fibrosis), where atypical cells are limited to the lower one-third of the epithelial layer; CIN2 (moderate atypical fibrosis), where atypical cells occupy the upper one-half to two-thirds of the layer, with grade 1 obvious dysplasia, and the time required for carcinogenesis is shorter. Therefore, your condition requires early surgical intervention.
