Publish Date: 2005-03-01
Features: Our society's "Illustrated ABC of Intellectual Property" was awarded the Fifth National Excellent Science Popularization Work Award. Since its publication, the book has played an active role in popularizing intellectual property knowledge and has received widespread praise from all sectors of society. With the support of the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Tibet Autonomous Region Intellectual Property Administration, we have launched the Tibetan edition of "Illustrated ABC of Intellectual Property," specifically targeting the promotion and popularization of intellectual property in China's Tibetan regions. This is a beneficial attempt in our work to protect intellectual property in ethnic minority areas. China has a long history and is a developing country with multiple ethnic groups. In the development of each ethnic group, it is not only necessary to address common issues of intellectual property protection such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights but also to face severe practical and characteristic challenges, such as how to reduce the risk of intellectual property infringement and strive for legitimate interests in their own unique genetic resources, traditional knowledge, and folk arts. To some extent, China's intellectual property protection work has just begun, and the protection of intellectual property in ethnic minority areas has not yet received sufficient attention from relevant individuals. We hope that the publication of this Tibetan edition of "Illustrated ABC of Intellectual Property" will contribute to enhancing and strengthening the intellectual property protection awareness of people of all ethnic groups.
