Features: "China's Modern Customs Clearance Practice and Regulations" is inscribed by Mu Xinsheng, Director of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, with Sheng Guangzu, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs, serving as Chief Consultant. Sun Songpu, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs and Director of the Guangdong Sub-Administration, served as the Chief Editor. Duanmu Jun, a member of the General Administration of Customs Party Committee, and Tao Jisheng, President of China Customs Press, served as consultants. Nearly 40 experts and scholars from within and outside the General Administration of Customs spent two and a half years meticulously compiling the book, which was officially published by our press in late March 2004 for public distribution within the customs system and society. The book comprehensively reflects the latest achievements of modern customs clearance construction and business reforms by various management units at China's ports over the past decade. It provides important reference value and guidance for further strengthening the foundation of business operations within the customs system and achieving the second strategic development goal. The book is divided into two volumes. The first volume consists of three parts: Theoretical Research (Part I), Management Systems (Part II), and Practical Operations (Part III). From a macro-management perspective, with customs supervision and management as the core, it provides detailed elaboration and specific guidance on related administrative management, transportation freight forwarding, logistics and warehousing, as well as the principles, rules, procedures, and practical operations of online customs clearance. The second volume is the "Laws and Regulations Volume," which collects the latest import and export management regulations published before February 18, 2004, involving eight major management regulations, totaling 239 items. It also includes appendices of relevant tools, charts, and codes. The two volumes combined total over 3.8 million words and are printed in international standard large 16K format. The paperback set costs 390 yuan, and the hardcover set costs 460 yuan. With China's entry into the WTO, a significant number of pioneers have already taken the stage of international logistics and benefited from it. More domestic state-owned, collective, and private enterprises are eager to participate, but they are hindered by a lack of knowledge in customs clearance or the difficulty of estimating costs and risks. This book enables foreign-invested and foreign trade enterprises to achieve their goals of swift customs clearance with just one volume in hand, helping them establish roots in China and expand globally to win wealth. "The Complete Work" serves as a practical reference book for business managers and customs clearance personnel of import and export enterprises to handle customs clearance procedures, as well as a professional reference book for port law enforcement personnel and related research and management personnel in their work.
