Features: This book introduces the applications of four spectroscopic techniques in the analysis of fine chemical products. The first four chapters, from a practical perspective, elaborate on the basic principles of infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. The fifth chapter introduces their applications in fine chemical product analysis, including the identification of isomers of alkanes, alkenes, aromatics, and heterocyclic compounds, spectral characteristics and interpretation of certain typical compounds, studies on chemical reactions and reaction kinetics, qualitative and quantitative analysis of mixtures, as well as the spectral characteristics of common solvents and additives. Due to the rapid development and widespread use of surfactants in industrial and agricultural production, Chapter 6 is dedicated to the spectral characteristics of various types of surfactants by nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry, covering non-ionic, anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants, and providing examples of mixture identification. The content of this book is a summary of the author's many years of teaching experience and work achievements, with most of the spectra cited being measured on instruments at the author's institution. To ensure completeness, some examples from specialized books and literature have been included. For the first time, various spectroscopic data of some important and typical compounds in fine chemicals are compiled and interpreted together, further enhancing its practicality. This book is suitable for scientific and technical personnel engaged in chemical and chemical industry work, and can also serve as a reference book for teachers and students of relevant majors in higher education institutions.
