How to treat fungal vaginitis

Patient's question:

Recently, during a physical examination, the doctor told me that I had candidiasis. I said that I had been feeling discomfort in my private area recently. It turns out that it was caused by this condition. I don't know how to treat candidiasis.

Doctor's answer:

Treatment for Candidal Vaginitis:
(1) General Treatment: Actively treat other conditions that can lead to candidal urethritis and completely eliminate predisposing factors. Maintain clean and dry external genitalia, and avoid scratching. Sexual activity is strictly prohibited during treatment. Avoid spicy and irritating foods.
(2) Altering Vaginal pH: The optimal pH for Candida growth is 5.5. Therefore, using alkaline solutions to rinse the external genitalia and vagina can alter the vaginal pH, inhibiting the growth of Candida. A 2%–4% baking soda solution can be used to rinse the vagina once or twice daily, with 2 weeks constituting one course of treatment. After rinsing, dry the external genitalia and keep them dry to inhibit Candida growth. It is recommended that you visit a hospital early to learn about the relevant treatment. For severe cases of vaginitis.
