Is candidal vulvovaginitis obvious?

Patient's question:

We've been divorced for over three years, trying to conceive for more than a year, but haven't been able to get pregnant. Last week, I went to the hospital for a gynecological examination. The doctor said I have candidal vaginitis. I felt very confused. How could I get this gynecological condition? I don't feel any discomfort, and I'm also very careful about hygiene.

Doctor's answer:

Candidal vulvovaginitis patients exhibit increased vaginal discharge, itching and burning sensation in the vulva and vagina, painful urination, often redness and swelling around the vulva, and various epidermal changes. Very superficial vesicular papules may recur in clusters; it can develop into eczematous lesions, localized to the vulva or spreading to the perineum, perianal area, and groin creases, extending to the inner and outer thighs, resembling acute or subacute eczema completely. The labia and clitoris adjacent mucosa become thickened, with erythematous and eczematous lesions on the skin surfaces that come into contact with each other.
