Patient's question:
My friend's mother had a uterine fibroid surgery five years ago and had her uterus removed. Now she has an ovarian cyst. It's 4.5 divided by 4.6. The doctor didn't recommend surgery and prescribed medication. Recently, she has been slightly constipated and having difficulty passing stools, so she wants to know if the ovarian cyst could be causing the constipation and difficulty passing stools.Doctor's answer:
Ovarian cysts do not cause constipation or difficulty defecating. If a patient with an early-stage solid ovarian tumor is detected, timely surgical removal should be performed. Women who take oral contraceptives before puberty, after menopause, or during pregnancy and notice ovarian swelling should consider it as an ovarian tumor. Patients with undiagnosed pelvic masses or those who do not respond to treatment should undergo early laparoscopic examination or laparotomy. Maintain a balanced work-life and diet rich in nutrients, consuming plenty of light, easily digestible foods, avoiding extremely cold and foods, and keeping the body's vital energy sufficient, blood and qi flowing smoothly, and overall health. Avoid taking hormone drugs or tonics, and reduce the intake of high-cholesterol foods.
