Patient's question:
Just found out I have severe cervical erosion. I'm preparing to have a TCT test done immediately to understand the treatment. I'm very worried now. Could I really get cancer at such a young age? I haven't had a miscarriage or given birth, and occasionally during intercourse, there's a bit of bleeding.Doctor's answer:
Symptoms of Cervical Cancer:1. Vaginal bleeding: Irregular vaginal bleeding, especially contact bleeding (i.e., bleeding after sexual intercourse or gynecological examinations) and postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, are the main symptoms of cervical cancer patients. In invasive cervical cancer, bleeding tends to occur earlier and in larger quantities.
2. Increased vaginal discharge: The discharge may be white, thin, watery, rice-water-like, or bloody, with a foul odor. When the cancerous tissue breaks and spreads, the discharge may become purulent with a foul smell.
3. Advanced-stage manifestations: Due to the infiltration and spread of the tumor, additional symptoms in distant or even systemic locations may appear. These include frequent urination, urinary urgency, rectal fullness, constipation, leg swelling and pain, sciatica, hydronephrosis, and ultimately systemic exhaustion.
