How to treat moderate cervical erosion?

Patient's question:

I finally managed to get together with my husband, but good times are rare. We had intimate relations almost every day, yet we couldn't get pregnant. After a thorough medical check-up, the doctor found only moderate cervical erosion and mild vaginitis, with no other significant issues. However, it seemed unlikely that we would conceive anytime soon due to these conditions. This led to arguments with my husband, and over time, we decided to get married.

Doctor's answer:

It does have an impact. Generally, mild cervical erosion does not interfere with conception, but when it progresses to moderate or severe cervical erosion, the cervical mucus becomes thick and contains a large number of white blood cells, which is unfavorable for sperm movement and penetration, thus interfering with delivery. Therefore, active treatment is necessary for severe cervical erosion. Some women are naturally prone to recurrent cervical erosion. Some women may develop cervical erosion during pregnancy, in early pregnancy, or while taking birth control pills. The degree of cervical erosion can change over time. With active treatment, there is still an opportunity for improvement.
