Abnormal white discharge, what is the matter?

Patient's question:

Health Consultation Description: I went to the hospital yesterday because of abnormal white discharge, and the doctor performed a vaginal discharge smear test. Out of 10 items, white blood cells, gram-positive cocci, gram-negative short rods, and lactobacillus-like bacteria were positive, while the rest were negative. She said I have vulvitis and prescribed oral medication and a topical solution. Last night after using it, I noticed this morning that my white discharge was green. I want to know if the doctor misdiagnosed me and whether I should continue taking the medication.

Doctor's answer:

According to the condition, it is speculated that abnormal vaginal discharge may be caused by a vaginal infection. It is recommended to pay attention to hygiene, avoid spicy food, and refrain from sexual activity for the time being. Using Clotrimazole Suppositories for treatment may provide some help. For bacterial vaginosis without trichomonas or fungal infection, symptomatic treatment is sufficient. It is recommended to take Metronidazole B6 tablets and Levofloxacin tablets after meals. For external washing, use Jieryin Wash Solution. As for the change in the color of the vaginal discharge, it may be due to the medication you are using.
