Explanation of Classical Formulas

Author: (Qing) Mo Meishi
Publisher:
Publication Date: 1996-07-01
Features: This book elucidates the profound principles of the "Treatise on Cold Damage" and the "Essential Prescriptions from the Golden Cabinet," featuring three parts and listing 340 prescriptions in total. Its content is rich, supported by extensive references, and it compiles the essence of various schools of medicine. At the end of the book, there is an appendix containing missing and lost prescriptions from the "Treatise on Cold Damage" and the "Essential Prescriptions from the Golden Cabinet." This book holds significant clinical practical value, though it is currently only available in the author's self-published edition and is rarely known. This is the first time it has been collated and annotated by Shang Xing. The collation is based on the author's self-published edition preserved in the Library of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, published in the 10th year of the Guangxu era (1884). Standard simplified Chinese characters and new-style punctuation are used. Original errors in characters, variant forms, homophones, and colloquial characters are directly corrected without annotations. The original book is divided into three volumes with separate indexes, which have been merged in this collation. Additionally, the characters such as "Gui'an Mo Wenquan Meishi" at the beginning of each volume's index have been removed.
