Does appendicitis affect pregnancy?

Patient's question:

Recently, there have been many sexual activities, and the external genital area has been itchy frequently. There has been an increase in leukorrhea, which has caused me a lot of pain. I couldn't help but want to scratch it with my hands. Eventually, I went to see a doctor, who told me it was adnexitis. I haven't had children yet, and I'm very worried about whether this will affect future pregnancy.

Doctor's answer:

1. If the embryo implants, it will never be affected.
2. As long as you are pregnant, the impact is not significant.
3. The left-right distinction for males and females is not scientific.
4. The fluid in the fallopian tubes is generally called fallopian tube hydrops. It can accumulate and dissipate on its own. The dissipation usually involves a small amount of fluid draining out, while some is absorbed by the body. However, when the hydrops reaches a certain point and coincides with the time of embryo implantation, it is absolutely not acceptable. If you miss that window, and the embryo implants, meaning you are pregnant, then there is no need to worry. Generally, there will be absolutely no issues. In fact, having adnexal inflammation is not (terrible); patients should believe they can overcome the illness. As long as it is detected early and treated promptly, the chances of stabilizing the condition and recovering are very high.
