Features: With the improvement of people's living standards, the number of car owners is on the rise. To enhance travel efficiency, reduce accidents and traffic violations, car owners are eager to obtain detailed and authoritative traffic information. To meet the needs of drivers for road and traffic control information, the Shanghai Traffic Police Corps, together with the Shanghai Municipal Institute of Surveying and Mapping and the China Cartographic Society, jointly published and distributed this Atlas. The main part of the Atlas consists of maps of 19 districts and counties in the city. For areas with complex traffic conditions, enlarged maps are also provided. To facilitate drivers' reading and use, the Atlas includes a map of the main road network in Shanghai, as well as a map of the main road network in the city center (divided into northern and southern parts). These maps serve as a general overview of Shanghai's road conditions and also as an index for the page numbers of the district and county maps. Additionally, flyovers such as the Shanghai-Jiacha and Shanghai-Jingqin expressways are illustrated in schematic form for drivers, along with traffic control information in the city center, maps showing traffic congestion and frequent violation hotspots in Shanghai, allowing drivers to see at a glance. The Atlas also presents traffic management information in the form of thematic maps, including prohibited turning intersections, one-way streets, dedicated motor vehicle lanes, dedicated non-motor vehicle lanes, prohibited cargo vehicle access roads, prohibited motorcycle access roads, and restricted areas for horns, as well as restricted areas for cargo vehicles from Shanghai and other provinces. These features provide drivers with practical driving services.
