Features: We have compiled this book "Diverse Approaches to Mastering Outline Vocabulary." The term "diverse approaches" means "various methods." We do not require students to memorize English words through rote learning using a specific method. Instead, we place words in sentences, which means that after each entry, in addition to providing part of speech and definitions, we offer several typical example sentences to illustrate the basic meaning of the word and its typical or common usage in graduate-level English. Students are expected to remember the word through these sentences. Then, we derive a series of related associative words from an outline word, such as synonyms, near-synonyms, easily confused words with explanations, antonyms, and root words. Next, we introduce the most commonly used collocations of the word, all of which require example sentences for clarification. We intentionally highlight key vocabulary in the outline words and arrange a key word test exercise after every few entries to help students master the usage of these key words.
