The book strives to connect theory with practice. On one hand, it combines cases from China and abroad to explain issues in the main text. On the other hand, it includes relevant cases after the main text to help students deepen their understanding of this highly practical discipline, maritime law. The book also pays attention to the combination of basic knowledge and theoretical issues. It elaborates on many theoretical issues of concern to the maritime law community while enabling students to master the basic knowledge of maritime law, thereby broadening their horizons. The book takes the "Maritime Law of the People's Republic of China" promulgated in 1992 as its main framework, providing a detailed explanation of the basic issues of maritime law. Considering the strong international nature of maritime law, the book also covers relevant conventions or widely influential international conventions and practices that China has joined. Additionally, given the emergence of new regulations in the field of maritime litigation in recent years, the book has included content on maritime litigation.
