The humanistic spirit points to a human ideal system centered on truth, goodness, and beauty, which is the core connotation of "what it means to be human." Humanistic education is the "usefulness of the useless," because its purpose is to promote the complete independence and self-perfection of humans as life and spiritual subjects.
