Features: According to the requirements of the "National Guidelines for Physical Education Curriculum in Ordinary Universities," the guidelines were implemented in all ordinary universities nationwide starting from the 2003 academic year. In response, all teachers of our physical education teaching and research office participated in compiling the "Practical Coursebook for Physical Education and Health," as a supplementary textbook for the "Theoretical Coursebook for Physical Education and Health." The content of this coursebook is carefully selected based on the conditions of universities and the individual characteristics of students, aiming for brevity, practicality, and continuity with secondary school textbooks. It closely aligns with the main objectives of the physical education curriculum, taking the concept of "health" as the fundamental starting point for selecting teaching content, while also emphasizing the cultural aspect of physical education. With a human-centered approach, it follows the physical and mental development patterns and interests of college students, adapts to the teaching, fully utilizes the intellectual advantages of students, and facilitates self-study, self-practice, and self-entertainment outside of class. The coursebook fully reflects and embodies the content and requirements of the "National Student Physical Fitness Testing Standards." Due to the limitations of physical education class hours, the textbook simplifies the teaching content as much as possible, highlighting the practical application of specific exercise methods and techniques. In terms of operation, it is both beneficial for students to learn and for teachers to teach.
