Features: "The American Legal Library" is a large-scale legal book translation project sponsored and organized by the U.S. Information Agency and translated and published by the China University of Political Science and Law. It was initiated based on the "Presidential Rule of Law Initiative" agreed upon between President Jiang Zemin of the People's Republic of China and President Bill Clinton during Jiang's visit to the United States in October 1997. The selected books in the series are chosen to reflect the fundamental model of American legal education and the highest level of legal theory research. The planned collection includes approximately over 100 titles, encompassing both classic legal textbooks and classic legal monographs. As the saying goes, "A stone can be used to polish another stone." It is believed that the publication of the library will not only promote cultural exchange between China and the United States but also provide important theoretical references for the establishment and improvement of China's rule of law system.
