Features: There are currently two known versions of this book. One is the Ming Chongzhen edition preserved in the Rare Books Library of Peking University, consisting of fourteen volumes. The other is a manuscript collection at Xiamen University, comprising nine volumes. The version I have compiled is based on the Peking University collection. The book has been published in two editions. The first edition includes: Kanhé () without volumes, Yanlue () in five volumes, Fan'an () in one volume, Shufu Fan'an () in one volume, Jingshen () in one volume, Gongyi () in one volume, Shufu Yanlue () in one volume, Shufu Panyuan County Yanlue () in one volume, and Shufu Xiangshan County Yanlue () in one volume. The second edition includes: Kanhé () without volumes, Yanlue () in three volumes, Fan'an () without volumes, Jingshen () without volumes, Jingyi () without volumes, Gongyi () without volumes, Shufu Yanlue () in two volumes. The entire book is a genuine record of judicial practices during the author's tenure as an official. It covers criminal, civil, and litigation laws, making it an extremely valuable historical source for understanding the development and implementation of Ming Dynasty legal systems. It is also an excellent document for studying Ming Dynasty society, economy, and particularly Australian history.
