Patient's question:
Every time I have my period, it hurts so badly that I feel like I'm dying. When I went to the hospital for a thorough check-up, I found out it's primary dysmenorrhea. How can I relieve it?Doctor's answer:
Primary dysmenorrhea is when menstrual pain is extremely severe every time, to the extent that it can even affect survival training and practice on the third day. The key to relieving dysmenorrhea is to avoid any mental tension or stress before menstruation. A hot water bag or a warm can be used to enhance pelvic circulation and reduce pain. Additionally, combined oral contraceptives containing drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol, or desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol, can be taken to treat dysmenorrhea. Alternatively, pain relievers such as round pain-relieving tablets or indomethacin enteric-coated tablets can be used for pain relief.
