Publish Date: 2004-10-01
Features: A highly practical textbook with content that must "keep pace with the times." Since the first edition of GrundstudiumDeutsch was published in 1991, many changes have occurred in various fields between China and Germany, making some of the book's content outdated. At the same time, the field of German language teaching has been continuously exploring and accumulating new, beneficial experiences. Therefore, it has become urgent to revise and rewrite the book based on its original foundation. In 2002, the authors officially began the work of compiling the new textbook StudienwegDeutsch. This textbook was selected by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Education Commission in 2002 as part of the "National 15th Five-Year Plan Textbooks for General Higher Education" and the "Beijing Municipal Excellent Textbooks," respectively. This further motivates us to diligently carry out our work. StudienwegDeutsch is divided into four volumes, each accompanied by a workbook, teacher's manual, listening and speaking practice book, and audio cassettes.
The first volume consists of two parts: the Pronunciation Course and the Basic Course. The Pronunciation Course is divided into 6 lessons, designed to help students master German pronunciation and basic intonation through simple communicative contexts, while also familiarizing them with German pronunciation rules. Each lesson includes a certain number of key phoneme and intonation exercises, which teachers can select based on specific circumstances. The Basic Course part consists of 12 lessons, divided into three units. The last lesson of each unit, namely Lessons 4, 8, and 12, focuses on joint exploration of techniques and methods for learning German, serving as review lessons as well, covering the content of the previous three lessons.
The new textbook emphasizes stimulating students' learning initiative and cultivating their learning abilities, helping students establish a strong work ethic of diligent study and practice, master scientific learning methods, and develop the habit of actively participating in language practice. Since this textbook is specifically designed for Chinese university students, it fully takes into account the difficulties, habits, characteristics, and living environments of Chinese learners.
