Features: To better serve the frontline teaching of English (New Standard), help students consolidate classroom knowledge, and improve their language proficiency, we have compiled the English Second Classroom learning series as supplementary material for extracurricular study. The outstanding features of this series are its fun, practicality, and developmental nature. Each volume of English Second Classroom consists of 12 lessons: 10 teaching lessons and 2 review lessons (including 2 comprehensive practice papers). Each teaching lesson is divided into 6 parts:
(1) A Playroom (Little Theater): Short plays are used to present the vocabulary and sentence patterns from the corresponding modules of English (New Standard), helping students consolidate classroom learning and reflecting the textbook's practicality in catering to all students and foundational knowledge. The rich language scenarios also expand opportunities for students to use language and effectively stimulate their interest in learning. At the same time, to meet students' needs for self-improvement, each short play appropriately adds 4–6 new words and sentence patterns, demonstrating the textbook's developmental nature.
(2) A Broadcasting (Studio): Engaging and lively English songs or rhymes are used to reinforce the vocabulary and sentence patterns learned by students. The songs and rhymes, written and selected in conjunction with the main teaching content, not only enliven the classroom atmosphere but also help students improve their English pronunciation.
(3) Climbing Club (Rock Climbing Club): Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are tested according to the teaching objectives, providing supplementary exercises to help students master and consolidate the main knowledge and skills of the lesson. The exercises are lively and engaging, allowing students to assess whether they have grasped the key points and difficulties of the lesson.
(4) A DIY Workshop (Handicraft Workshop): Students are guided to engage in simple handicraft activities, where they learn and apply language through hands-on experiences. The new words and sentences that appear in the activities can be selected as learning content.
